Paadha Accessibility Statement
We believe physical buildings and digital interfaces must be barrier-free and accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and patients with mobility challenges.
Our Core Accessibility Commitment
Paadha was established specifically to solve navigation barriers in high-stress, complex spaces like public hospitals. Accessibility is therefore not an afterthought; it is integrated into our platform architecture both digitally and spatially.
1. Spatial & Physical Wayfinding Accessibility
- • Elevator & Ramp Identification: Digital maps identify functioning passenger elevators and ramp locations alongside stairwells to aid visitors and patients during vertical transit.
- • Elevator Verification: Our on-site validation verifies that elevators included in public paths feature operating call buttons, clear signage, and level cabin leveling suitable for hospital visitors.
- • Public Restroom & Amenity Pinning: Maps clearly mark public washrooms, water points, and help desks on all floor layouts.
2. Digital Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 Guidelines)
Our digital interfaces are developed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards:
- • Color Contrast: Text and critical UI components maintain strict contrast ratios (exceeding 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large headings) against light backgrounds.
- • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive controls, search inputs, dropdown menus, and floor level toggles are accessible via keyboard tab sequences with prominent visual focus indicators.
- • Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML landmarks, descriptive ARIA attributes, and alternative text descriptions for meaningful imagery.
- • Reduced Motion Support: CSS animations respect system-level "prefers-reduced-motion" user preferences.
3. Multilingual Accessibility
Paadha is currently deployed in English alongside universally recognized healthcare and amenity symbols. Regional-language support (such as Malayalam and Hindi) is planned on our roadmap to further enhance accessibility in future phases.
4. Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing journey. If you encounter any digital barrier on our website or if an in-hospital route presents an unexpected physical obstacle, please inform us immediately:
