Platform & Technology

Common questions and technical details

Q:What is indoor navigation and digital wayfinding?

Indoor navigation is a digital system that helps people understand building layouts, locate specific rooms or departments, and follow verified corridor routes inside complex multi-floor structures where traditional GPS satellite signals cannot penetrate.

Q:How does Paadha work for visitors?

Visitors scan a Paadha QR code placard at any building entrance or open a provided link on their smartphone. The browser loads an interactive vector map showing their current starting point. Visitors can search for a destination (e.g. 'Cardiology', 'ECG', 'Room 104') and receive highlighted step-by-step corridor directions.

Q:How do visitors access the Paadha application?

Visitors launch the application instantly by scanning a Paadha QR code placard at any building entrance. The interactive application opens immediately on their mobile device without mandatory account registration.

Q:Does Paadha provide real-time 'blue-dot' indoor GPS tracking?

Standard Paadha deployments use verified corridor graph routing and QR code starting points, which fulfills over 95% of visitor navigation needs without expensive hardware. Live indoor positioning (blue-dot) using Bluetooth BLE beacons or Wi-Fi fingerprinting can be evaluated as an advanced add-on if the facility has the required sensor infrastructure.

Q:What devices and browsers are supported?

Paadha supports all modern iOS and Android smartphones, tablets, touchscreen lobby kiosks, and desktop web browsers.

Facility Implementation & Scope

Common questions and technical details

Q:How does Paadha handle multi-floor and multi-building campuses?

Paadha organizes mapped structures into distinct buildings, blocks, and floor levels. Visitors can toggle levels easily, and route guidance seamlessly accounts for cross-building connections such as skywalks, breezeways, basements, and central atriums.

Q:How does Paadha route between multiple floors?

Paadha connects floors via designated public elevator lobbies and staircases, providing clear visual and text instructions on which floor and lift bay to take.

Q:What is the typical implementation timeline for a facility?

Timelines depend on facility size and blueprint readiness. A single-building hospital wing with ready CAD files can be mapped and validated in 2 to 4 weeks. Multi-building campuses requiring architectural drafting and physical survey typically take 4 to 8 weeks.

Q:What files or inputs does the facility need to provide?

The facility provides architectural CAD drawings, PDF floor plans, or evacuation diagrams, alongside an official directory of departmental names, room numbers, and hours.

Updates, Maintenance & Support

Common questions and technical details

Q:What happens when a department relocates or a room is renamed?

Facility administrators can update destination names, room numbers, and operational hours digitally via the Paadha admin console or by contacting our support team. Updates reflect on the live web map within minutes, eliminating the cost of reprinting static wall signs.

Q:Can temporary construction detours or closed corridors be marked?

Yes. Corridors undergoing maintenance, painting, or seasonal disinfection can be temporarily disabled in the routing graph, automatically directing visitors through alternative hallways.

Q:Does Paadha support regional languages?

Paadha is currently deployed in English. Regional language support (such as Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil) is on our product roadmap and will be rolled out in future phases based on facility requirements.

Healthcare, Compliance & Safety

Common questions and technical details

Q:Has Paadha been deployed in a real healthcare setting?

Yes. Paadha's foundational deployment was conducted at Government Medical College Kozhikode, mapping core hospital wings, OP clinics, registration counters, and blood bank utilities.

Q:Does Paadha collect patient medical data or personal health records?

No. Paadha is strictly a spatial wayfinding tool. It does not access, collect, or store personal health information, diagnostic reports, or patient medical histories.

Q:Does Paadha replace hospital staff instructions or emergency signage?

No. Paadha is an assistive orientation tool. In emergency situations, fire alarms, or clinical code events, visitors must always follow physical emergency exit signage and directives from hospital healthcare personnel.

Pricing & Getting Started

Common questions and technical details

Q:How is Paadha priced?

Proposals are structured transparently based on facility scope: number of buildings and floors, total mapped square footage, destination density, survey effort, and QR placard count. We separate one-time implementation from optional ongoing hosting and maintenance.

Q:How do we get started with a facility assessment?

Contact our team through the Request a Demo page or call +91 9074723465. We will review your architectural floor plans, discuss key bottlenecks, and provide an initial scope proposal.
